Welcome to Knockbain Community Council. We are the statutory body serving Munlochy, North Kessock and the smaller communities between and around them on the Black Isle, just north of Inverness. You can see our location here

The role of our Community Council is to represent the issues and concerns of the local residents who live in the area, which could have a benefit to our communities.

A public consultation is being held to seek your views on options to improve road safety on the A9 between North Kessock Junction and the Tore roundabout.

Communities in and around the Black Isle may be affected by some proposals, so it is important that local residents and beyond have the chance to share their views.

Click on the link here to complete the consultation.

Feedback and offline response options

Your feedback is valuable and will be used by Transport Scotland and WSP to further evaluate the engineering options and complete the Preliminary Appraisal stage.

If you are unable to access the online consultation and wish to view and comment on the options, an alternative can be made available by contacting WSP, Transport Scotland’s consultant, on 0141 418 7309 or by e-mail: A9-North-Kessock-to-Tore-Study@wsp.com.
